Winton Wetlands Website

The State Of Play

In 1971, the Winton (Mokoan) Swamp was flooded to create Lake Mokoan. Just under 40 years later, the lake was decommissioned and drained in 2010. This created the Winton Wetlands Project, a project tasked with renewing the ecology of the reserve, growing its natural, scientific, cultural and environmental significance and deliver a wide selection education, research, tourism, recreation and community development outcomes.

The Work

Yoke were approached to create the Winton Wetlands Project’s new brand and identity. The project then evolved to include the planning, design and development of the new website. The site needed to fulfil a number of online objectives including clearly communicating visitor information, listing the extensive range of events and enabling online booking for both events and camping.

The Result

The new site was launched at the start of 2017. The bright, bold and dynamic visual identity translated perfectly into the digital arena, while beautiful imagery and photography of the location and its attractions were used to great effect throughout.
