Access Health (formally IE Health) has been committed to making healthcare and health education accessible to everyone in Melbourne’s inner-east for over a century. With a diverse range of quality health services ranging from dental to podiatry, the community’s most disadvantaged have always been a priority. This dedication to inclusivity is reflected in the Access Health fee structure designed so that those who can afford it pay, thereby enabling those less fortunate to be subsidised by government initiatives.
Access Health engaged Yoke to revamp their website to most effectively inform existing and potential clients about the range of health services available. A key project consideration was that of function; it was essential that the online platform make the process of finding the services required and booking online simple through an intuitive interface that prioritised user experience. To complement this, the web design needed to clearly present the Access Health brand as that of an excellent primary health care provider. As a service provider to a range of clients, it was essential to be accessible and intuitive in order to effectively serve everyone in the community.
Informed by analytics data and behavioural insights, Yoke’s prioritisation of UX and IA enabled the website to more accurately reflect the Access Health brand, while making it easier than ever to discover and book services. Developing both the front and backend of the website, Yoke not only improved UX outcomes through the application of user lead design principles, but enhanced the internal website administration for a combined ease of user navigation and staff utilisation.
