Who are we looking for?

With long-term current clients and new work quickly coming over the horizon, we’re looking to build our Digital Marketing team with the addition of an SEO strategist.

We’re looking for someone with at least 5+ years of experience in an agency environment – developing and implementing SEO programs, including developing outcome-focused strategies, keyword research, on-page optimisation, backlink building and reporting.  Experience with SEM/Paid Search will also be looked on favourably.


The SEO Strategist will own the agency’s SEO work, working closely with Account Managers and Digital Strategist to deliver the best outcomes for our clients. Working in a tight-knit team, you’re calm, controlled and organised. This is a role for someone who is passionate about all things search and digital and wants to be a part of meaningful, insight-driven work.


Essential skills, responsibilities, and day-to-day requirements:

  • Develop optimisation strategies that lift the Google rankings of our clients
  • Work closely with Account Managers and clients to communicate and implement SEO strategies
  • Conduct keyword research to identify new SEO opportunities
  • Identify areas for improvement on client to provide SEO recommendations
  • Write compelling, high-quality website content that helps achieve SEO objectives, or have ability to brief a copywriter
  • Implement simple technical updates such as xml sitemaps and schema or brief the internal technical team
  • Manage link building, seeking backlink opportunities and liaising with third party partners
  • Prepare reports on SEO performance, both overall and for individual initiatives
  • Strong knowledge of all Google search features, how they work and how to design content for them
    • Knowledge graph, Snippets, Images, Accordions, FAQs, My business, Voice search
  • Google analytic reporting
  • Core Web Vitals



The following SEM/Paid Search skills, while not essential, would be looked on highly favourably:

  • Strong knowledge of Google Ads platform
  • Experience developing and implementing SEM/Paid Search strategies
  • Copywriting for Google Paid Search ads
  • Campaign optimisation and reporting


About you

  • An SEO specialist with a proven track record of success in producing strong SEO results.
  • You have a solid understanding of the Google algorithm for organic search
  • At least 5+ years SEO experience
  • Strong analytical skills, including competitor analysis
  • Experienced with SEO software such as WebCEO, Majestic and Google Search Console
  • Experience in analysing data and producing Google Analytics reports in Data Studio
  • Experience and confident with stakeholder presentations and management
  • Professional development to say up to date with SEO/Google updates/news/issues
  • Marketing experience advantageous
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills – making SEO concepts simple for clients and non-technical staff to understand
  • Understanding of conversion/event tracking using Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics
  • Copywriting and content writing experience
  • Creative and analytic problem-solving skills
  • Entrepreneurial drive and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Enjoy grasping opportunities and working with our client partners to achieve their business objectives
  • Strong decision-making skills and a persuasive and confident approach – backed by experience and knowledge
  • Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and sense of urgency/prioritisation
